An implementation of vcn server on OpenSuse can be found here, which is a very details work. Some of the important commands:
vncserver -- to start vnc server
vncserver -kill :1 -- to stop or kill the session :1
xstartup -- define start-up action when connected
One thread for using vnc client in a gnome session, but I have not had a chance to test it.
